Farewell my friend

Few more hours to go as a count down for me that a friend of mine Choon Ling is going to Sydney,Australia for his further studies there and now I am here to write a blog.
Well, I met him when I join Tzu Chi Humanity School. I was very quiet and lonely until him and others come toward me chit-chat. My reaction was like dump-boll? smile? weird? Could be...hmmm...no comments...
Before his National Service we hang out quite a lot to watch movies and eat or even sometime come to Switch (Apple Authorised Reseller) to meet me and chit-chat...
Probably from now onwards, I don't think I can hang out with him until unknown...The last hang was this tuesday, we went to The Ship for dinner and it was raining heavily. god...

Michael Jackson shocks the World

A tragic to the world our King of Pop passed away. Well, I am a huge respectful Michael Jackson Fan, and I decided to start this blog to share the pain that the world must be feeling now with the tragic loss of Michael Jackson, and to express my sincere condolences to his family and especially his children who must be suffering during this time. For Michael to be taken away from us so suddenly at such a young age, I just don’t have the words.He was the consummate entertainer and his contributions and legacy will be felt upon the world forever.

Which Michael Jackson will be remembered? The unsurpassed entertainer, the gifted and driven song-and-dance man who wielded rhythm, melody, texture and image to create and promote the best-selling album of all time, “Thriller”? Or the bizarre figure he became after he failed in his stated ambition to outsell “Thriller,” and after the gleaming fantasy gave way to tabloid revelations, bitter rejoinders and the long public silence he was scheduled to break next month?

In the end, the superstar and the recluse were not so far apart.

Mr. Jackson built his stardom on paradox. As a child star he was precocious; as an adult he was childlike. His only competition was himself. Within the razzle-dazzle of his songs, he sang about fears and uncertainties in that high, vulnerable voice: flinching from monsters in “Thriller,” wishing he could just “Beat It” when trouble began.

He was a racial paradox, too: an African-American whose audience was never segregated, but whose features grew more Caucasian and whose skin grew lighter through his career, to discomfiting effect. His own face had become a mask.

All of Mr. Jackson’s show-business skills — the ones he learned under his father’s sometimes brutal instruction and then within the Motown Records hitmaking assembly line — were at once a way to please the broadest possible audience and to shield himself from them, safe within his own spectacle.

Despite all his time onstage and on the air, Mr. Jackson stayed remote: styled, rehearsed and choreographed. He had one of history’s largest audiences, and it never really knew him.

There was no denying his talent. His voice leaped out of the radio in Jackson 5 songs like “I Want You Back,” even for those who didn’t see how he danced on television. He internalized Motown’s philosophy of making music for a broad audience — not just a black or white audience as pop grew increasingly segmented in the 1970s — and when he took over his own career, with “Off the Wall” in 1979, he applied that philosophy to the newest sounds he could find, in and out of discos.

His ambition was seductive when he urged “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough.” He offered something to everybody on “Thriller,” which may have been the most strategic crossover album to date: a duet with a Beatle in “The Girl Is Mine,” dizzying electronic beats in “Wanna Be Startin’ Somethin’,” rock guitar in “Beat It.”

His established stardom helped get his African-American face onto MTV, breaking what seemed like a color line, in what was a hugely beneficial step for both. Mr. Jackson wasn’t just an old-school show-business expert who could sing and dance onstage in real time; he was also more than ready for the music-video era, turning his songs into high-concept video clips that fit the chorus-line production of old Hollywood musicals into television-sized nuggets.

His dance moves were angular and twitchy, hinting at digital stops and starts rather than analog fluidity — except, of course, for his famous moonwalk, the image of someone striding gracefully without ever leaving center stage.

The world-beating success of “Thriller” was Mr. Jackson’s triumph and burden. He had the sales, the Grammy Awards, the screaming audiences in every country he toured. And he would spend the rest of his career trying to repeat the experience working many of the same maneuvers into his music: another duet, another rock guitar, another ratcheting dance track. Mr. Jackson never stopped being catchy, but behind the sheen some of the songs grew darker and stranger, like “Smooth Criminal,” with its intimations of violence, on the 1987 album “Bad.”

Mr. Jackson labored; his albums came four, five, six years apart. The hip-hop era had arrived, with its bluntly candid lyrics and quick-and-dirty productions, both contrary to Mr. Jackson’s style; he tried to keep up the crossover with raps from the Notorious B.I.G., but that didn’t buy him street credibility.

The songs grew increasingly divided between benevolent messages like “Heal the World” and spiteful ones like “Why You Wanna Trip on Me” on his 1991 album “Dangerous.” On his 1995 album “HIStory” — which started out as a greatest-hits collection but added a second album of new songs — Mr. Jackson’s fury boiled over in new songs like “They Don’t Care About Us” and “Tabloid Junkie.”

Part of the pop audience — and critics, too — took pleasure in Mr. Jackson’s setbacks. He had long been billing himself as the King of Pop, and the cover of “HIStory” shows him as a giant statue, the kind that gets toppled when tin-pot dictators (or pop idols) are overthrown.

The underlying sweetness that had made Mr. Jackson endearing, even at his strangest, had curdled, and he couldn’t resuscitate it for his final album, “Invincible,” in 2001. All the pieces he had put together, all the paradoxes that he had been able to resolve with sheer musicality, started to fall apart. He was working on a stadium spectacle for shows in London this summer, and we will never know if all his skill and showmanship could have given him a new start.

The cycle of natural disasters lead back to human kind. When people have less and less respect for Mother Nature, she will surely respond with endless calamities. "All creatures share a common karma because we all receive the results of our actions."

Why have we forgotten to treat one another first with gratitude, contentment, good will and understanding? In our loss of respect for each other, there is not enough love or an awakening of our innate universal love. Should we remember that all creatures in the universe are one, we would then know to let go of our egotism, set aside our mutual misunderstanding, and eliminate our selfishness. From the depths of our hearts will arise a reverent love for all beings and we will return to the true, clear essence of our human nature.

Everyone has the great love.We learn from what we do and we do what we have learned.In this way, we experience the meaning of the admonition, "Let the god be in your heart, your words and love in your deeds."

If every person can give love without asking for anything in return, we can look forward to a world of certain peace with goodness, beauty and truth.

College life?

First off, I would like to sincerely apologize for not blogging for a while. It has been very hectic lately and I have struggled with finding time to let loose and confess all here.hmm...When you think of college and being on campus, I'm sure politeness and kindness are the last things you think of. I never really thought about it either, until I started paying better attention to my new surroundings.

This semester my five subjects have been a lot of work.My legal studies(Basic Law of Australian) class is fairly based on common sense and involves issues I learn nowadays but is still a challenge because when writing cases or politics, if you have even one error you get a zero on it. I have never paid so much attention to the different variations. god...My English class is by far the easiest and the most relaxing. My math class makes me shake my head, after all it is math but it seems like add math or specialist math. It is math that you learn in high school but need to refresh on and it is the basic math that everyone needs so I’m set. The more challenging class though would be Economics. It is one of those classes where I go everyday, take all the notes, follow along to the lectures and do most of the reading then a research the market value in Australia along. I sit and face my Mac almost everyday.

It is very disturbing to not know what you are doing wrong when you are doing everything you can think of.

In addition to college life, I have recently totaled my car and quit and back my job. Although I now have a car and job as you can see life has been extremely stressful lately. Sadly, one morning on my way to college I got in a fender bender and had to say goodbye to my friend Harvin who is going to KL after all study in Disted for just a week.
Since I live in Penang and school is a lit bit of a challenge I thought it would be wise to have extra cash on backup. XD

I hope all of you have a wonderful and enjoyment life in college and are looking forward to graduating in a few months.

1st day of March but my last day in Switch(cgcomputers Sdn. Bhd)...well,working for 3months and great experience in Apple's store...1st time dealing with customer on sales and solve Mac's problem too...i have a type of feeling don't wanna leave but I have to or else i don't have time to rest and prepare everything for my further studies...Top 3 sales in January and top 5 sales in Febuary....now decide to study where...Maybe in Local or Maybe Overseas not sure....better let my dad plans for that... :S ...hmmm...anyone who wants to buy computer, I 1st recommend Mac course it is better than windows a lot as I am a Mac user for a long time...you can install windows or even Linux...Buy Mac No Regret...haha...

hmm...yesterday night my friend Choon Ling and I went to Queensbay Switch introduce him about Macbook...The shop seemed very quiet but my stomach was druming...haha..So i plan to go Nando's for my dinner and it was 10something i think...Most of the shops were close,luckily there's one restaurant T.G.I Friday not close yet so don't care and we step in to take our order...after my super late dinner and felt like don't wanna go home yet so plan to watch movie 'The Pink Panther 2' hahaha...funny and doesnt make sense...After the movie, back to eat again...Mamak stall...cheap and good plus fast service...we chit-chat until 1am then back to my house continue our chit-chat till 3something..haha..

Morning back to work but it was in Old wing,Gurney Plaza...from 10am to 10pm and i slept in staff room while working...over bored and sleepy...haha...Anyway I think i should be resigned soon...not enjoying anymore,should back to study...

Yesterday something surprise happening to me while I am working at the old wing,Gurney PLaza. The Dubai Marina is an entirely man made development that will contain over 200 highrise buildings when finished. It will be home to some of the tallest residential structures in the world. The completed first phase of the project is shown. Most of the other high rise buildings will be finished by 2009-2010. Cool right?

Currently, the Walt Disney World Resort is the no.1 tourist destination in the world. Once fully completed, Dubailand will easily take over that title since it is expected to attract 200,000 visitors daily.

The Dubai Mall will be the largest shopping mall in the world with over 9 million square feet of shopping and around 1000 stores.

Some of the tallest buildings in the world, such as Ocean Heights and The Princess Tower, which will be the largest residential building in the world at over a 100 stories, will line the Dubai Marina.
This is what downtown Dubai will look like around 2008-2009. More than 140 stories of the Burj Dubai have already been completed. It is already the worlds tallest man made structure and it is still not scheduled to be completed for at least another year.

The Burj Dubai. Construction began in 2005 and is expected to be complete by 2009. At an estimated height of over 800 meters, it will easily be world's tallest building when finished. It will be almost 40% taller than the the current tallest building, the Taipei 101.

Recently it was announced that the final height of this tower will be 1200 meters. That would make it more than 30% taller than the Burj Dubai and three times as tall as the Empire State Building.
The Al Burj. This will be the centerpiece of the Dubai Waterfront. Once completed it will take over the title of the tallest structure in the world from the Burj Dubai.
Dubailand. Currently, the largest amusement park collection in the world is Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, which is also the largest single-site employer in the United states with 58,000 employees. Dubailand will be twice the size. Hydropolis, the world's first underwater hotel. Entirely built in Germany and then assembled in Dubai, it is scheduled to be completed by 2009 after many delays.
Dubai Sports City. A huge collection of sports arenas located in Dubailand.
The Palm Islands in Dubai. New Dutch dredging technology was used to create these massive man made islands. They are the largest artificial islands in the world and can be seen from space. Three of these Palms will be made with the last one being the largest of them all.

The World Islands. 300 artificially created islands in the shape of the world. Each island will have an estimated cost of $25-30 million.

Cousins came out so hang out the whole day from Gurney plaza till Queensbay mall..Bought quite a number of wears..through out the year my dad doesnt buy me a good quality jeans until today bought me a Vessage's jeans for Rm819.90...very expensive right? but good quality...Today no electronic goods but wears...My dad bought everything on wears for us and cousins too...hmmm....maybe good mood for him i think? Thinking back and finalise my expenses for this month i guess i had spent nearly Rm5xxx...china's trip cancelled...god damn...what to do...Next month going to save lots of money in order in get a 2.53GHZ Mac book pro...haha...so now save save save for the future...

Badminton...
my dad's colleague trained me with his scale what he had learnt when he was young...this afternoon most of them were state players included my dad...
trenmendously good...
my friends were there with me too...we go for a double game...well,1st game i lost and no mood until my dad scolded me...haha...so dad partner with me to play another double game, tough game and fighting spirit...dad asked me to keep attack,but i was looked like an uncle hitting housefly...haha...19-21,21-18,22-20...the score is very near...i did a lot of mistakes and drop-short is not sharp to the net but in the end won...after the game,i sat on the floor like a snake...no energy at all...rest not even 5minutes,uncle asked to me go for the next game...This game was really attacking and defending non-stop...once square we kept defend for every single target,front back we kept attack but something funny...i smashed one of the shuttle to another court...haha...at last we won 21-9,21-18...after this game ,dad told me about something i really need to focus on...my backhand cross-court...not sharp and risk...aikz...my friend invited me for a single so whatever dad's collegue told me and i use it to play for this...well,beginning i wasn't really playing well,and takes sometime to push myself forward into the game...dad and his collegue guided me well and kept using tactics but not attacking...my opponent also an ex-state player but his stomach now...'pregnant ones'...haha...it took about an hour to end the game with score of 21-15 17-21 and 21-10...hmm...i guess i am back online with the game...course few weeks ago i went to play badminton at butterworth with tzu chi's friends, i wasn't playing well and sleepy face...haha...

Night performance..hmmm...not bad at least my hand was not shaking but flutist having a wrong tune...god...hand was not shaking but head was shaking...haha...really out of tune and the P.A system change the flute into a flat pitch...ish...after that choir accompaniment Silent night..I played with the actual tempo but the choir kept going fast and slow...argh...don't know what am i playing after all...Finale was brilliant...no any mistake...wow..luckily Finale did very well or else I don't know what will happen...
Christmas celebration...happy,fun,crazy...having BBQ with friends at Ivan's house...there were a group of 'animals' bbq-ing...guess what?! lamb with wasabi...they trick Takajimo that the lamb with veges...hahaha...japanese guy so wasabi is normal for him...when he ate,he said why the vege so not looks like veges...haha...siok...after the party,brother and I went second party at brother's car team (team city)...after the countdown of christmas, convoy round island with all honda city only..cool...will upload the photos if i got it from my brother...

Woke up at 6.45am and rushed to gurney plaza new wing for CG meeting...ish...8am must be arrived?! but 7.55am not even half of the crew members were arrived...haha...delay delay delay...Reason from those high rank were the side or security doors have not open yet...but how come we could come in huh?! swt...Meeting? yea we were but it seemed like so relax and everyone yawning...phui!After the meeting, john(operation manager) treat to a breakfast for all crews...MCD...but.............we order spicy chicken Mcdeluxe burger set...John...haha...ask Cedric : hey do you have money? because I don't have enough money to pay...hahaha...lol...Evening rush again...gosh...to Tzu Chi Jing-Si Shu Xuan for rehearsal and I was the first one to arrive...haha...so i take some photos over there...here it is...

Well, I put taylor's college at first place because it's suitable to me but takes four years in order to get a bachelor of Architecture and two years of master in Aussie...
Nilai University is a tuning program 2years in local and 2years in USA...hmm...I like it but around 4x,xxxUSD per year...
Inti college I don't really like their course and the University link is not to Melbourne University but to others...
Equator academy 3years diploma and 2years degree in overseas but no link to USA...aikz..
argh...anyone can recommand? please local first then link to oversea but the best is US...

I read a news on the web about a pilot with more than 30 years experience has been forced to turn his plane around - because he was not qualified to land in fog. o.m.g

This afternoon i went for Apple's training.
Guess what?! Thats a lot of short keys i don't know and don't even know there's...
Henrick (service department) he came to teach me about the purpose of all the application and the technology between Mac and Windows or even Ubuntu.
So Mac I can say it's perfectly friendly user to everyone. Windows? hmm...Top in incoming virus,buzz,worms or malware...haha...Ubuntu? does anyone heard about it before? well,it's something similar to Mac and windows but it can't support those useful application...Compare about specification probably those brand who runs windows OS is better than Macintosh.Many ppl will think that apple's stuff is very expensive but they are sure that you pay for the price and get the best system. I am a Mac user for almost 9years and windows user for 14years and Ubuntu user for 4months as my brother and I are still discovering about the technology...haha...I guess i will switch to Mac for the rest of my life...it's really cool interference and high resolutions...
